Carrera S 19" Wheels on a boxster?, will a 295 fit in the rear?

Can I fit the 19 inch wheels from a carrera on my 2007 boxster? my tires are 18/235/40 on a 8inch rim and 18/265/40 on a 9inch rim. The Carrera tires are 19/235/35 on a 8 inch rim and 19/295/35 on a 11inch rim. The front tires should fit fine. But would the rear tires fit. I know I would need spacers to get the correct offset, I'm more worried about the wheel rubbing on the inside or sticking too far out and looking dumb... Will there be any negative effects with PSM or ABS?

Also how will that effect handling? will it produce more oversteer or understeer? will it make the car handle better or worse because it changes the balance...

elh0102 is infamous around these parts
The Boxster has less understeer than the 911, which most folks consider an attractive feature of its handling. The mid-engine configuration is obviously the main reason, but, smaller rear tires is a part of the formula also. Other things equal, larger rear tires will cause greater understeer. The car does not have enough power to need larger rear tires for traction. I would leave it alone.

i agree with elh, you dont need 295s out back. if youre going to go to bigger tires, go with a 245 f/275 r or 255 f/285 r setup. one of those would work better as youre increasing the front along with the rears and will increase grip while not understeering like stock.
i plan to go with one of those two tire combos when my PS2s are done.

handling aside, does this physically fit in regards to the offsets and tire sizing?

Yes it fits I ended up putting 245 r 18 in the front and 295 r 18 in the rear you will need 17-24mm spacers in the rear and the tire barley sticks out so it looks fine. This was my setup for track tires with slicks.

The tires I had on my boxster are currently for sale, I sold the boxster to get the Tesla..
