true the 911 is more desirable than a cayman s...but ive never driven a 911 and id like to keep it that way, until im three years into my first cayman or something...jk.

to me personally, the c63 styling is cheap and plastcky...inside and out, I know I am alone in this thought...the main reason why i considered it was that it was a practical whole package
C63 is a different car with a different purpose. If practical and comfortable are what you are after than it is the car.

Cayman is for the fun of it. The C63 you drive to work and home. The Cayman you drive to work and take side trips, or get lost on purpose on the way home.

As for a 911; dive one right after driving a Cayman and you will probably wonder what the big deal is. The Cayman would replace the 911 at the top if Porsche would let it, however there is too much $$$$ in the 911 to let that happen.

I walked in to look at a new Turbo and ended up with a RS 60; price was not the reason. I liked the color so well that it caught my eye enough that I took a good look at it. Same quality as the turbo with two trunks??? Hay what a concept.

It interested me enough that I thought I better drive it just in case. To my surprise I liked it better than the Turbo. Yes it is under powered in comparison, but half the fun comes from getting the power out of a car, and the actual driving is no comparison. The Turbo can stay with the mid engine in the twisties, however it has to be driven with smoothness and attention to get the most out of it. The Boxster / Cayman just need a little pressure on the throttle and the rest happens thought telepathy.

I have driven most of the exotics and was even going to order a DBS to replace my DB9, however the RS 60 stole my hart and I’ll put the rest back into savings.

Yes thats the one I was thinking it is VERY LIMITED in production. The sport model .The best Cayman made so far and limited to 200 to 250 WORLD WIDE .I would buy it .Dont give up on the Cayman purshase. I went in to a dealer to buy a new 911 and saw a cayman and said heck that car looks 10X better then a 911.after I drove it I bought it and have NEVER been dissipointed. The 911 needs a little Re-design in my opinion OH but that would be the CaymanS.911 is a little boring these days.

thanks again guys,
i will buy a cayman s or a rs 60 for sure, just gotta find one, im sure some will pop up soon.
i never was a boxter guy till i saw the rs 60/ personally the cayms is first choice. rs60 close second. i would be happy with either, the latter is more a summer car.
i agree with you porschepet, the cayman is better looking than the 911 to my eye.

06 Cayman

Cars are the Same /Exactly i believe .an 06 is a great deal!!
if you want the car get the car .The Porsche/Cayman Market right now is horrrible .wholesalers are not buying them therefore you cannot trade them in so its a great time to buy if you are not trading in anything (In my Opinion) an 06 with that equiptment in the slate (Not so great) color with those options (wich are Great) Offer them 40K No more then 42K american dollars . I have been looking closely every day to the declining high end car market and wished I was buying right now.The slate grey in my opinion is not one of the greatest colors. There is really NO bad color I just personally dont like the grey unless you do some wheels ,side vents and other trim in black then your talking. The slate with some Black trim and wheels Looks COOL!!! stock .. not so much

i am seeing a lot of well priced regular caymans...not cayman s.
i have only driven the s version, not the standard.
its a real pain here to get out and test drive them backtoback, at least now.
any input is appreciated.

Niqui I've been looking at the Cayman S Sort and the RS60, there'S one of each but i don't remember which dealer it's at. Look on the porsche.ca website under find a dealer, they're in the new inventory of one of them somewhere.

I love the Cayman S Sport but the only problem is the model is outgoing and the new 2010 320 hp cayman S is around the corner.

Edit: Pfaff has the Cayman S sport and MCL has it in Guards red.

Edit again: The RS60 is in norden, in edmonton

Intersting topic. It's similar to m3 vs boxster s topic. Well...as for buyer, if you drive both of these cars for 15 mins can't figure out what you want...you will never know. I am sure there is more guys who likes porsche on this forum and vice a versa for amg forum. I own a boxster S which I like more than Cayman S since it's open top and less money. If you like driving fast on corners and have passion for Porsche...its the right choice. I personally would never buy c63..EVER. Oh...I forgot to mention, avoid automatic...tiptronics that is. What is Porsche thinking with 2nd gear to start?

Life is good when you get to choose from those two cars, but I would have to go with the AMG as much driving as you do. It gets to be a rough ride in a Porsche as a daily driver

Whatever suits you man. I never drove C63 so I can't say much...but I know it has crazy power from that torque. I am sure you will like it...if you are into muscle car. Just that when I bought Porsche...I was thinking to my self what 99.9% population will never experience this. May be Ferrari/Lambo owner would say that samething for Porsche owners.
