Any miata owners?

I had not one, but two crank failures. That's when I gave up on Miatas. Although I'm sure they have that sorted by now.

Flyin Miata said the Big Enchilada kit for the 04 Mazdaspeeds are OK with stock diff., clutch, and bottom end. Evidently they are robust enough.

Yeah the 93+ miatas are all better engineered. You must have some horrible luck, the crank failure only affected a small portion of the very early miatas....

Got a new motor installed (new to me anyway). That one blew about 10K miles later. Called it quits

Yes, I was a previous Miata owner. It was a 99 with Flyin miata turbo, Garage Vary kit, MS stuff etc. I sold it two years ago and purchased an 04 986S. Then last February I said the heck with it, sold that and got my hands on a 996TT.
I still miss my miata. It was fun. It felt like you were going to die at every turn.
