Question If you could do it over, which options...

What options does your Cayman S have?

In hindsight, which turned out to be not worth it and which do you wish you would have got?

Sport seats and LSD are a must for me on the 09.

Sport seats are on my list of must haves if/when I choose to pickup a CS.

I was excited about the LSD, but a local dealer told me that I would only really notice it if I were to track it. Sort of a moot point for me as I'm looking for a 06-08 to save some pennies...

I've got the multifunction sport seats, and they are an absolute must. PASM is also a must - much better ride and 10mm lower.

Would you say PASM is a must if you plan on lowering the car with either aftermarket springs or coilovers?

Isn't the LSD on 09+ vehicles only available in conjunction with the PDK?

I'm looking for a CPO'd 06-07 and my must haves are Xenons, Sports Seats, and Sport Chrono.

(19" Carrera Classics or Sport Designs, PASM and PCM would just be icing on the cake).

You can still lower the car, but I think the only coilovers out there that acutally work with out having to de-activate the PASM are the Bilstein PSS9's.

You wouldn't in that case. It depends on how much day-to-day comfort you're willing to give up for a better laptime. I'm not sure how much of an advantage the aftermarket springs/coilovers give you vs PASM. Honestly I think there are probably a dozen mods that will give you more track time improvements if you really take the time to tune the suspension properly.

I've got GT3 upper and lower control arms and Techart adjustable sway bars with adjustable drop links and a Quaife ATB differential. With the proper tires, inflation pressure, brakes, wheels and the right alignment and sway bar settings, I think I'm 90% or more there in terms of suspension setup. I understand that coilovers will give me a still better setup for the track, but I wouldn't say it's any more than maybe 10% better than what I already have. That 10% isn't worth sacrificing my very comfortable 'daily driver' ride.

I wasn't aware the Bilstein's would let you keep PASM. In that case, even a better reason to order PASM.
