Review: BBS LMR 19X11rear fitment for 987

THIS IS NOT A CLASSIFIED AD, THIS IS A PRODUCT REVIEW...

2- 19x8.5 BBS LMR
2- 19x11 BBS LMR
2-MICHELIN PS2 255 35 ZR19
2-MICHELIN PS2 295 30 ZR19
2-GMP wheel adapters
20-GMP wheel bolts (10 longer)

approximate cost of products was shipped: $7,000.00

I do not have stock wheels on my car, I purchased them with 20" wheels. The BBS wheels are 16LBS (combined weight with mounted tires) lighter than my 20" wheels. BBS wheels weight is 48LBS each for the front and 53LBS each for the rear.
BBS needs no introduction when it comes to the quality of wheels they make, same thing goes for MICHELIN and tires.

The wheels are shipped in BBS boxes protecting the rim from shipping and handling abuse. They include the BBS valve stems which are made of several pieces, they have a rubber high pressure washer two metal gaskets, a threaded sleeve and cap, race quality second to none.

The GMP spacers are made to clear the caliper and shock body. Excellent quality.

Hubcentric to make sure the wheels are sitting right.

The GMP bolts have a ball seat washer designed so that they will torque accurately. As you can see they threaded in the width of the bolt which is what is recommended.

When you put the spacers make sure the rotor hat is clean from rust and dirt.

Put on the supplied spacer screw.

Once you get the rim on line up the holes until they meet with the spacer then thread in the bolt. Only hand tight for now.

Set your torque wrench to 96FTLBS. (GT3 and Cayman S factory recommended)

Tighten in a star pattern tightening the lug bolt accross from each other. The wrench will click once it is tight.

No clearance issues whatsoever making Uturns with the Michelin PS2 255 35ZR19s. I am lowered 25mm with Techart Springs and had no rubbing. The rears clear the shock with no problem thanks to the GMP spacers and bolts.

Thats alot of wheel to clear 11" wide not to mention with tires adding more width.

Road Force Static balancing with rim/tire matching is the only way to go on these. Tire pressure is set to 32psi on the fronts and 39psi on the rears.

The stance is more aggressive...

BBS on the left.

The BBS LMRs with MICHELIN PS2s meet the fender nicely thanks to the spacers.

Driving you can feel the wider tires/wheels, when you turn the car hugs the curves making the steering feel on point. I have yet to track them but am confident they will not let me down.

you can purchase these from TireRack Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels

Please describe how neutral the car tracks. Does it understeer at all. How is the turn in and does it follow imperfections in the road.
THANKS

Your car looks absolutely amazing!

I love how aggressive the LM-Rs worked out for you! You've got me thinking some ideas now and now I'm looking through our BBS catalog!
