Use "wheel wax" (or any car wax) after cleaning every time.

Clean wheels

Ekam is right a good wheel wax really helps .
Mothers makes a pretty good one and they have a wheel wax kit that has a little round ball that ataches to your drill .works pretty good
I also use Armor-all wheel cleaner and my latest product is a Simple Greene motorsports degreeser/cleaner product that home depot sells .this stuff rocks!!

Have you guys tried the Meguier's wheel cleaner? Is it good? Heard that it's a little too strong.

He isn't kidding. Getting into ceramic pads will eliminate 75% of your problem right off the bat.

I thought the discs were ceramic, not the pads?

The stock discs are steel and the pads are some sort of metallic-based compound. You cannot switch to ceramic discs, but you can switch to a ceramic-based pad. These will still dust, but a lot less than stock. Most of the dust is from the pads not the discs.

I hear good things about Rejex - but I haven't tried it because my wheels are gray and hide most of the dust anyway. Not easy to find in stores though so you may have to buy online. You will still have to rinse the wheels but I understand that it does a good job keeping the dust out of the pores.

I switched to a product on my Crossfire Roadster I believe called Rotex Gold brake pads. The difference was remarkable. Haven't had the issue yet on my Boxster but thats what I'd try if and when.

I have heard good things about Rejex althought I have not tried it. It is supposed to be a high temp all in one (AIO)

I usually clean my wheels with Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner at a 4:1 solution. It will get rid of ALL brake dust on the wheels and then I go with an AIO. I have used Klasse and Optimum poli-seal. I prefer Optimum poli-seal to seal the wheels. It is an acryllic based wax that will last for a few months and will help to keep brake dust from sticking.

Hawk HPS. Ceramic don't dust as much but they don't stop as short
