2009 pcm gps

any cayman 2009 owner can tell more about the gps system? Like the graphic interface or how easy to use etc...
And does it actually speak out the name of the street? how about search via phone number?

Thanks,

If you're in NJ, you can't be too far away from a dealer. Why not go there and check one out yourself?

Thank you for the answer as also as your first post here. I am in NJ and the closest dealer is 30 miles away from me and I don't know Chicago. I can still get there but this is not the point. I would rather like to have some comments from the user's point of view not the salesman who works for the dealer. This is the purpose of joining a forum right?
I did try search for the answer of what I asked before I post but I couldn't found any answer.
Actually if you just change what you posted earlier from NJ to wherever other member are, I believe you can answer 99.9% of the question here and make you the most active poster in 6speedonline.com or any other forum.
Thanks again for your helpful answer.

Sorry that my answer wasn't as helpful as all of the others. While we're on that topic... how many members have you seen post that they've taken delivery of their 09s?

As far as ease of use goes... how does anyone here know how easy it'll be for you? Maybe you can help forum members help you by listing your own experience with other NAV systems.

You did ask two specific questions... does it speak street names and can you search via phone number? Both seem pretty straight forward to me... yes or no. I'm not sure how a dealer could sugar coat this.

I'm not sure why you were so offended by my response. Personally, before I check the box on a $3k option, I'd like to be as certain as possible that I am happy with the user experience. I couldn't care less about how satisfied a bunch of internet strangers are with their PCM. (Nothing personal against the forum members.) This is best done by pressing some buttons yourself.

Or you could keep bumping the thread.

Hahahaha the rubber duck has a good point...

also if you realllly need the answer to your questions and dont want to travel the 30miles to get to a dealership, you could most likely have someone at the dealership answer the questions over the phone, just a suggestion. Best of luck!

That's why

Dear rubber_ducky, I never mean to offense but I might misunderstood your post. Since we were not having video chat, I couldn't figured out if you were joking of seriously by your facial expression.

You don't need to say sorry about your answer. I don't think you gave me one instead of a "go to the dealer", I think that's rude.
No, not many but yes, there are members or guests have 2009 model already, do you need to know who? In fact, you don't have to own one 2009 Porsche with PCM to comments. Do you own one to response my post?

There never a answer for how ease of use a system for different user which I agree. As my understanding, we are at the forum where I assume we should have the same interest, to share information, exchange idea and have fun. I just want some user experience from other members. This kind of question is being posted everyday like what aftermarket exhaust is better? what color combination looks good? what options? Sport seat or not? PCM or not, etc...
Some real examples here,

How satisfied are you with your E92 (E90) M3 ?
stock 911sc vs s500?
Picked up the 2004 CTT last night - first reactions and stereo question...?
Porsche to release street legal version of RS Spyder?!?
How do you Activate TPMS?

Actually these question can be answered easily by called Porsche Dealer, if questions are not answered may be Porsche in Germany, long distance call is cheap nowadays. But most the questions has been answered or discussed, some were even answered from a non Porsche owner to a Porsche owner.
This also response to Pcar lover's advice.

Yes I did, answer should be very simple either Yes or No. Do you know the answer? What make you so difficult to answer that instead of ask me to go to the dealer with no courtesy.

"If you're in NJ, you can't be too far away from a dealer. Why not go there and check one out yourself?"

Why? Instead of offended, I were just not happy because I wasn't being respected. Members here use Thanks, Sorry, Please, Just My personal idea, etc. Where are those words? Again, this sounds offense to me, there are real human on the other side of the computer, try being polite. Give no chance to others to attack you. If you don't know the answer, DON'T ANSWER.

I don't know why people jump into a question posted and saying something meaningless instead of answer. I don't think sit in a cayman in the showroom will give me the answer. Read my post please. I just want to know the experience from a excisiting owner. If there is none. OK.

I was asking some question and question was not answered.
I repeat my question here again.
"Any cayman 2009 owner can tell more about the gps system? Like the graphic interface or how easy to use etc...
And does it actually speak out the name of the street? how about search via phone number?"
If my question is inappropriate, Moderator please correct me. If it is not, opinion are always welcome and appreciated. Thanks ahead.

Ask in another section, as the system is the same in the 911s.
