wheel rubbing please advice

wheel rubbing please advice

Hello guys, last week I bought a set of carrera S II wheels locally with spacers for my cayman S I took the car out yesterday night for a ride and today and I noticed on very big ditches I can hear that the car rubs... is this normal? it doesnt do it a lot maybe 1 time yesterday and today 1 time.. what would you guys recomend, should I just returned the wheels and look for something in the 9x9.5 rear I am running the 9x11 whit 15mm spacers or is this normal, any help please..

I think it's normal. I have the TechArt 11 at the rear too and it does rub when going over bumps. You have to get the rear fenders roll and everything will be fine. No rub whatsoever

so it's normal to hve the wheel rubbing on my shock?

aslo Zip tie the Emergency Brake Cables over some they can Rub .It could be this ? I had this problem and a quick zip tie fixed it ,if it is rubbing on the shock then I dont know what to do .Good luck

Sorry I am not sure about the shock. I thought you were talking about the fenders. Maybe you can have some shops check it out.

I had this exact thing happen on my Cayman .
solrac6262-Crawl under the rear of the car and just look at the VERY INNER EDGE part of your rim and just see if its the E-brake cable Rubbing on the very edge .
that part on my car was a little more shinny and that is how I figured this out .I put 19" and 295 's on the rear with aftermarket Gt-5 wheels
The Spacers should have taken care of any rubbing or issue with it clearing the shocks so this is weird

Hopefully that is all it is if not I would get a different type of wheel ,Having it hit the shocks could not be a good thing and over time ? who knows what would it would do .
Kinda dangerous if you ask me

dealer said I need 18mm spacers on the rear in order to get this wheels working..

Mine was just rubbing on the inside part of my rims .This is different then my issue ,Looks to be deffinately hitting the shock . 18 MM needed then I guess . I hope the wheels look good?

Seller doesn't understand its rubbing and he doesnt want to refund my money, he is probably reading the post, I am taking another route if he doesn't
refund me ...
