I guess you couldn´t live any closer =D Make sure you stop by next time you`re in D. I live in Gäufelden, small town, too, but some garages here are worth 500K+.
Josh, here is the perfect place to find out the top end of cars. Autobahn A81 is unlimited down to Suisse. Many suiss guys take their exotics for a fast drive up to Stuttgart and back home. Not all Autobahns here are unlimited, though.

thanks guys, yes it screams. However if you stay below 3,000RPM it drives like a stock Cayman. Exhaust is not louder than any after market exhaust under 3,000RPM. But when you step on it it will just S C R E A M .....

We will do some runs tomorrow with a Gtech and we have a drag striop rented at the end of February here in MD. Hope to get some times from that. My tt has also a few more horses so it is hard for me to say. The tt feels faster, one for sure is the gearing and the throttle response alone. Secondly probably the AWD that just allows you to launch much harder, no wheel hop or spinning wheels, at least not unless you really try to have them. However, the Cayman with the smaller interior cabin, the engine and exhaust right behind you and the lighter, mid-engine handling is just much more raw and invovling. The Cayman makes me giddy just wanting to drive it, the 997 is awesome but makes you want to go cruise not tear it uplike the Cayman.

Hi Schwabe After i see your video I made my decision to install turbo to my car can you tell me what will be different my 2000 Carrera 4 engine and your's . TPC installing my turbo .You think performance will be same?

The base HP for my Cayman was 295 which resulkted with the first turbo install from TPC in 424whp. I now have also a catless header and boost controller installed by TPC which brought the WHP to 456. They also offer a larger turbo which should bring it then to about 480.
You are starting out with a higher HP to begin with, if I am not wrong it was 315 for 996. However you probably have a little more weight than my Cayman, not sure on that though. So performance would be very close to mine. Not as loud, as I have no muffler nor cats and have the engine and exhasut directly behind me in the Cayman. No matter what it will completely change your car. You will be able to drive it like just before under about 3,000 and beyond that it will just accelerate without letting off.

Well right now TPC has a sale on most of there kits, I would definitely contact Casey at TPC right now to see what deal you can cut. The base turbo kit is just under $10K and gives you around 485HP on a Cayman S. In addition to that I have race headers, map selector, boost controller, X51 clutch, and LWFW, all from TPC. That adds about another $5-6K in parts just for engine mods.
Suspension is H&R coilovers and swaybars, TPC drop links and I run GT3 yellow brake pads also from TPC.
Other "major" ($1,000+) parts are mesh inserts all front and side vents, and rear splitters. Clear bra, Alcantara steering wheel, center consol lid, shifter boot, lower dash, e-brake and GT3 RS sport seats.
Next step is a larger turbo from TPC which sould net me about 550BHP.
TPC has also built a 3.8 X51 with their turbo which produced 500+WHP. I sent Casey a note so he can chime in.
You should be able to find a low mile 06 Cayman S for low $30K and for about $10K if you do it yourself which lots of people have done have 485BHP in a mid engine monster.
If you plan on going the turbo route I recommend not to waste any money on any after market mods. Most of us tried to squeak out max HP through after market parts which ended up costing more than the turbo with mediocre results. The turbo kit has been designed for and goes on to the stock engine, so all your mods have to be removed. All I can say is I have GT2 power in a much better handling package and I am all giddy driving it - every single time.
