All good information already above.. you will find lots of take offs on planet 9. Aside of that I would recommend a set of OZ wheels, cost with tires about $2,200. Significant weight saving over OEM. I have a set of 18 OZ Alegritta's on order to replace my OEM 19 Design wheels.

I checked with Wheel Enhancement in LA relative to replacing my stock 17" Cayman 2.7 wheels (which I will use with snow tires in the future). I am looking for 18" S wheels, and the quote is nearly $2000 more for a set of factory wheels versus replicas ($3200 vs $1200, roughly). The replicas are said to come from Italy, and it was qualified this was better than those replica wheels coming from China. Presumably, those would be the ones for $800 which I have seen as well.

After taking the Boxster out yesterday, I realized that the ride with the 19" wheels is definitely acceptable to me. Now to replace the lobster forks and keep my Bridgestone's. This makes the upgrade easier to manage and less expensive. Either OEM sport designs, carrera classics or victor zehn aftermarket. Hmmm decisions, decisions. Leaning toward the Victors, a bit more unique.
