Another GT3 grill install
So I finally got the courage to install the gt3 grill on my Cayman which I have owned for oh about a month in a half if that . Anyway the whole install has been pretty straight forward. I ordered grill from Suncoast Porsche arrived in 2 days and only $29+sh. Next I bought a new dremal for $64.99 and safety glasses ( A MUST HAVE) along with epoxy.
1.Tape the front bumper.
2.Measure and measure again
3.Tape down grill and trace on tape
4.Dremal and dremal some more and more and more and more
5.Paint silver accident bumper bar that is now exposed beneath grille
6.Epoxy and enjoy

Looks good! And you make it look simple. Post a picture of the final result if you can.

Thanks for the kind words guys and interesting I thought the dremal was the smart choice I wish I thought of the box cutter idea and saved a few dollars. Are the 987s the only guys really doing this mod I have yet to see it on a 996 or 997 base yet.

The grill, unfortunately, will only fit the 9x7 bumpers. Yes, they give the Boxsters a more grown-up look.
