Guitar in a Boxter and price stability

Will an acoustic guitar in a case fit inside a Boxster? I think it would fit in the passenger side with the seat all the way back and reclined. Any way it would fit in the trunk?

I've been looking at 2000-2002 Boxsters and they are listed for sale online from $13000 to $15000 with 40k and up miles. How stable do you think those prices are? In two years with similar cars be $8000?

The hard case for my SG fit in the front seat no problem at all. No need to recline the seats etc. Plenty of room. I don't see why an acoustic would not fit.

I never tried putting it in the trunk.

Thanks for the info CPA4S. How hot does it get in the rear trunk?

When I bought my Mustang I took a guitar in a case to see how it fit in the trunk and the back seat (fits well). I thought it was funny that no salespeople came out onto the lot to see why I was doing that. Guess I need to pack my guitar over to a Porsche dealer.

All of my instruments (guitars and basses) have hard cases, so they wouldn't fit in the trunk(s) of a 987. I can get two basses in hard cases into the passenger seat without damaging or otherwise marring the interior; just no space for a passenger.

It's also worth noting that my 2x10 narrow-depth Bergantino bass cab fit under the bonnet, and my amp rack fit in the rear boot along with my gig/cable/pedal case.

Heck, I brought home my 88-key weighted KB in the passenger seat. Just had to put the top down.

Heck yeah! Passenger side, no problem.

Maybe in a small soft case. It will be nice and warm when you get there
I can get my whole gig rig in a Boxster easily:
Guitar #1 Acoustic w/helicon monitor/lead sheet book/ Mackie board- pass side
Guitar#2 Strat/soft case and tripod stands- in rear trunk
Mesa Amp and pedal board- Front trunk with spare removed.

Price stability in this economy??
I don't know, how is your crystal ball? Mine has been a little foggy lately. I do think a 2002 Boxster is a lot of car for $14K

again - soft case - i think his back pack also fit with the guitar the 2008 doesn't have the protrusion for the oil access.
