New Product Announcement: TBD for 5spd cars

Hello,
You asked for it and we listened. Our customers told us that for owners of the 5spd cars (which includes the 987 chassis Boxsters) the price of an LSD was just more than they wanted to put into their cars. Since these cars are not being raced at the same level that the S cars are, it seems that a true locking LSD just isn't needed. So what we did was build a torque biasing differential for them. It's 70% of the price of an LSD and will give you a lot of the same performance.

If you have any questions about how one of these works, or about differentials in general, please don't hesitate to ask. Watch the vendor classifieds for a special offering for 6Speed members to follow.

Regards,

Matt

We don't have a torque biasing differential like this one. We do have an LSD for the 986's, so it's a bit more expensive. However it's been a slow mover with very little interest in it, so I'd make you a deal on one. Send me an email at the address below if you want to talk further.

Matt

Most shops will charge you 4-6 hours labor to install it, sometimes more. It varies from place to place and the more experienced installers will often charge the low end of the scale because they know what they are doing. Someone who doesn't do much of this kind of work may bid it high to CYA and make sure they don't overextend themselves.

If you let me know where you are located, I can potentially refer you to one of our dealers that you can talk to about getting a bid written up.

Regards,

Matt
