ByeBye Cayman S....HELLO Spyder!!! (pics)

6 Speed,

After 23 months and 41,550 miles, i have traded in my 2008 Cayman S for a shiny new 2011 Boxster Spyder

Picked it up last night with 215 miles on the clock --- put another 55 on it myself and then tucked it into the garage as the Philly area is getting awful rain today. More pics and impressions to come...but for now, here are few pics!!!

In the showroom last night

First drive - what a GREAT car. Noticably quicker than my CS. Amazing shifter feel and steering feel. Heated seats work amazing. And the glow off the screen onto the painted white center console is just sick.

Tucked away late last night

I feel very blessed to have bought this car and am looking forward to many fun drives in it. There really is no substitute

Thanks man. Loved my Cayman S, a little sad to see her go, but man this is night and day. The Spyder is like no other car i have ever driven. Its steering and shifting are like magic. The heated sport seats are even better 3 years newer than my old ones, and the experience of driving this thing "al fresco" is unreal. I think once i get comfy driving it hard i would be able to SMOKE myself driving in my Cayman if we were ripping around the track or a back road.

Nice move. I want - I want... but unfortunately my home has no garage... so no Spyder for me. I noticed you don't have the sport buckets..., how much of the "al fresco" experience do you feel is from driving with open top?

Amazing Spyder!! I drove one and was really impressed with the handling and speed - not to mention how hot it looks! I'll bet that car gets a lot of attention. Enjoy!
