Now, you know what you need to get that "shove me in the seat" feeling of the S4? A little boost.
Heh, you and Casey have such funny little ways of plugging the setup...love it!

I went for a ride in Kevin's TPC Cayman S a month or two before I got my car. Wow! What a ride. I'd highly recommend it to anyone contemplating the setup; totally livable and stockish in the lower rpms but hang on once the boost hits! No drone at all from the exhaust either. No turbo for me (yet), but maybe once she's out of warranty.

I was going to ask you the question about performance feel vs. the s4 in terms of torque/acceleration as my friend had a chipped b5 S4.

Congrats on the purchase!
I'm considering a Cayman S also, and then buying a TPC turbo.

in market myself

great color...all the grey's are appealing.
wondering what you paid for the car and if there were any out there that you were considering, but didn't pull the trigger on, that you can send pointers to.

I originally wanted Meteor Grey since it was darker, but I'm really glad I ended up with Seal Grey. It seems to be both a 'classic' Porsche grey, yet it has metallic depth at the same time.

I was looking at many cars (s4, s5, m3, c63, rs4, cs) for about a year. There were a few private Cayman S that were a bit cheaper, but they either were modded, had no warranty, or were missing an option or two I wanted.

My car was nearly $80k brand new and I paid less than half that. When looking at all of the CPO'd cars at the dealerships, this was the cheapest in the entire country, yet it had some of the lowest miles and the nicest options.

My advice is to be patient and strive for the options you want. In looking at the different ways they can be optioned, you'd be surprised the difference certain options make. For example, compared to a stock car, I get a totally different impression and feel from cars spec'd with the sport seats, sport chrono, and thicker steering wheel. Add in the yellow gauges and yellow seat belts and I feel 'special' every time I hop in!

same story
in a week from now i will be 30th also
and i want to by myself also a Cayman S.

your Cayman is just a prfect combination of color and options
you got all the best in your car.

i can't find any cayman S i'm really like ,
i want only black or greay or white , with sport or carbon seats, sport chrono plus and PASM , 6 speed manual.
less then 1K miles.
i think the most beautiful wheels for the Cayman is the 19" Sport Design

i look only on Ebay and AUtotrader.com

if you can give me some advices how to find the right cayman for me it will be great

thanks
(sorry for my bad English)

Today is my actual birthday, so nice to see the thread still kicking!

I would also look at the classifieds on here, Planet-9, craigslist, cars.com, and Porsche's dealer inventory via their website.

Not a very good pic, but I snapped this waiting for my next auto-x laps.

Impossible to keep a car clean living so close to the ocean...covered in moisture every morning.

I'm back in New Jersey visiting family, but will take some shots of the belts when I get back.

The options should be listed on the first post, otherwise she's stock...unless you count stuffing the subwoofer, which I did last week.
