A lot more colors are available compared to the Spyder.

Yep- Spyder still looks better, and is lighter. I'm glad I bought the Spyder instead of waiting for this. This is a good alternative to the people who "Think" the Spyder top is too much effort.
Side note- if a future owner opts out of the Sport buckets (+26), adds AC (+26) and a radio(+7) their car is only 62 pounds lighter than a stock Cayman S right?
I think my math is right, but I have not had coffee yet.

Cayman R = Underwhelmed
Boxster Spyder = Very Intrigued
I've always been more of a 911 fan than Boxster, but the Spyder is interesting enough to consider a Spyder over a C2S/GT3.
Not sure what I see as missing with the Cayman R, but it just doesn't leave the impression on me that the Spyder does, even though they are essentially the same car outside of roof style and the related driving dynamics.
I do like the full color options available for the R though. I think the perfect Spyder/R would come in Mexico Blue though...
