Great that your OK. Hope they total it! I would rather get 55k for the car and put another 5k in one of the a slightly used one than having this car repaired. There are plenty around with for sale with one owners and very low mileage!

That cup holder held strong!

This looks like a easy repair. The windsheild frame is made of highgrade steel like a rollbar capable of supporting the car upside down. I wouldn't worry as long as it's repaired by a Porsche specialist.

Thanks for the all replies everyone. The car is at the body shop that both the dealership and AAA recommend. Also wanted to add that this is a car being leased so not sure how that affects any of the scenario's.

I should find out by tomorrow the repair estimate....

Leased? No real worry then. If fixed at Porsche approved facility it will all be absorbed in the fullness of time.

Your overall driving experience should not be diminished save for a little post-traumatic memory of the incident.

When your lease is up... get something else and voila... "never happened".

Glad to hear that you are ok after going through that. Must have scared the poop out of you seeing the tire up on the windshield like that!

I was guessing $10,000-15,000. If you need assistance, let us know.

note to self: if i ever see a great deal on a white Sypder, GET THE CAR FAX!

i know a lot of people say carfax doesn't cover everything, i have a strong feeling this will come up.

i am glad you came out of that ok OP. i didn't realize we can sneak under a Prius like that, but after thinking about it, those bumpers on the prius are high. hope the airbag didn't hurt you. my brother recently totaled his car and he thought he was fine and then ended up w/ a broken thumb after he got x-rays the next day.
