NEED YOUR HELP! Wheel/Tire reccomendations?

Hello Everyone!

I am starting to order a couple more parts for my 986 '98 Boxster. I am about to purchase some wheels from a local and I was wondering what size tires you think I should go with. The factory wheels I believe are 17x7 +55 205/50/17 and the rears are 17.8.5 +50 255/40/17. The wheels that are currently on my car are 19" Turbo Blade Wheels where i am running 225/35/zr19 F and 265/30/19 which were on the car when I purchased them. The wheels that I plan on purchasing are 17x8 F +47 and the rears are 17x10 +47. They are Gold iForged wheels w/Chrome lip. What tire size would you guys recomend? I plan on picking up the wheels Thursday and I would like to go ahead and order the tires ASAP

Hmmm, literally hundreds of choices depending on how you plan to drive the car, and what you want from your tires. No tire does everything well.

Is your car a daily driver, show car, track car, canyon carver? Do you drive in snow/cold weather below 40F? Do you want to maximize wet traction, dry traction, all weather, ride comfort, tread life, minimum road noise? Do you care what the tread looks like? Is filling the wheel wells important to you?

I do drive my car everyday! I dont really plan on tracking the car. I am starting to add some modifications to the car to possibly show it next year. I would like to fill in the wheel gap because I don't plan on lowering the car

Give these a look:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Excellent dry traction, good wet traction, good treadwear, will fill out your wheels/wells in:
235/45/17 front
275/40/17 rear

They are slightly taller than stock so effective gear ratios will be a bit higher. If you choose wheel offsets carefully there will be no rubbing or need for spacers.
