Upgraded my 2001 Boxster S with the OBC with 4 stalk column switch, 996 GT2 instrument cluster and oil pressure sender. Not as difficult as I thought it would be everything took about 5 hours. Still need to go by the dealer so they can reset the airbag warning and program the convertible top light. I think it looks awesome!

Can you tell us the parts needed for this swap?

 

Instrument Cluster: 996 641 213 03 70C with silver rings probloby from a 2002 or 2003 996 GT2 6 speed



4 Stalk Column Switch: 996 613 219 10 EWC from 996 2001-2004



Cables and plug for OBC:

3 - VW part : 000 979 009
3 - VW part: 000 979 010
1 - Porsche part: 999 650 056 40

Oil presure sender:

Porsche part: 996 606 203 02

honestly, I don't see why Porsche uses the 3 ring display on the Boxster and Cayman. I would like to see volts and oil pressure myself.

Does anyone know if the 996 instrument cluster will plug/play in a generation 1 cayman S ? - I already have the 4-stalk and computer ... I want the oil pressure gauge.
