305/30/19 fit 2006 Boxster S

I have a chance to get a good deal on wheels and tires for my 06 Boxster S. I currently have 265/35/19 on the rear with a 19x9.5 wheel. The wheels and tires are coming off a 2007 Carrera S. Fronts are no problem just wasn't sure if the 305's would have a fitment issue. The wheel vendor said with no issue with a 7mm spacer, thought I would ask the for some feedback from folks that might have done or seen this set up.

Thanks

A 305mm width rear tire will have a negative effect on the handling of a Boxster. It will be much more resistant to rotating in turns which in my opinion is the best thing about driving a Boxster. If the 305/30 is taller than the stock tire it will be slower to accelerate also, but the extra weight of the larger tire will be noticeable in much the same way as when you switch from running shoes to work boots. A best in class handling suspension is a terrible thing to waste!

Thanks for the reply Byprodriver. I was leaning in that direction but the price was almost to good to pass up. I'll stick with the the 265's that are currently on the car.

It took me years of trial & error to accept that there is no such thing as a good price on something you don't need.
