And this is where my wife and I differ.

Although she loves the way the Porsches look, she is not a fan of the Boxster. She likes the Cayman, and the 911, but the Boxster appears cheap to her (both on the outside, as well as the inside). I agree with her.

The problem I have is - I love the way it handles and feels, when driving.

That's interesting.. b/c when you compare the inside and outside of the 987 Cayman/Boxster... the main difference is the top, really. Aside from that, you have slide deviation in the design of bumpers. Granted, the Porsche is really the only manufacturer successful in selling a hard-top for more money than a soft-top. So, one could argue... Boxster is in-fact cheaper. Though, Boxster should appear (touch/feel/drive/sound) any cheaper than a Cayman.

The roof line is incorporated into the Cayman a lot better (opinion), the Boxster's roof line is separated (again, opinion - and most convertibles are like this). It's just my opinion. Looks are subjective.

I have to agree with you 100%,Thats exactly why I bought the Cayman .The curves in the 3/4 rear and roof line made me want it so bad .I also Like the Rear hatch part .The 2 cars are very different looking IMO

I Saw a Techart Cayman online and had to have one ..

they are the same car, but different

On another note, I agree since the buyers for each model are completely different animals although the cars share many of the underpinnings.

Although not pratical. I personally feel the Boxster Spyder looks more expensive than the Cayman and regular 911. This is purely subjective and based on personal experience, past cars, and friend's cars.

^ With the top down, I don't disagree. With the tent covered, it looks cheap.

Well those look like two Caymans to me. (Unless there is a hardtop Boxster out, now)

Besides the obligatory Porsche Boxster/Cayman/911/VW Beetle picture references appearing nearly identical for the last 30+ years.

The top 987 is a boxster with a Zeintop. Not bad looking in my opinion.
