Just picked up an 08 Cayman S

Former 997S owner, this is my first ever used car. I'm a huge fan of the Cayman S, always wanted one, but wife insisted on back seats when I was last shopping a Porsche, hence my prior 997S. My car is an '08, Meteor Gray, and has 22k miles on it. Came with Bose, 6CD, BiXeons, heated seats, and Sports Chronos. So far I love the car, having test driven it over the past five years more than two dozen times, I'm familiar with it. I'd say my new car is in pretty good condition, well it is a 2 owner car prior to me, so it's not flawless, and has a few little scuffs on the paint, but nothing terribly noticeable.

One annoying thing is that the owner drilled four holes up front to hold the plates, and each set of two holes is a different width apart. I bought four bumper plugs, but I'm not sure how that's going to look. I'm considering having the entire front spoiler replaced to give the car a clean look.

I do have a question though, when I was taking the rear temporary plate off, and noticed that there was a hole about an inch in diameter square in the center where the plate would be. It didn't look factory cut, as it wasn't clean enough, curious why someone would have done this, or if it is factory, what is it for?

And finally, pictures to come soon

The hole in the bumper behind the plate is for the rear tow hook. It's factory.

I'd be interested in your comparison btn the 997S and the CS.

Love mine, but want more power... I am saving up for the TPC kit.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.....enjoy the car in good health. I clearly remember the first day that I test drove my car, and the stupid grin I had on my face afterwards.
