Blue Ridge Boxster Summit...

Blue Ridge Boxster Summit...
Not sure if any 6speedsters attended.... but just want to share my Blue Ridge Boxster Summit 13 experience. And if you are interested in attending next year, you can sign the roster here: brbs.org. BTW, it's not limited to Boxsters... we had a couple of Caymans, Carreras & GT3's.
Anyways, it was another great event, and this time we were right in Little Switzerland, NC - right off route 226A (the Diamondback) - a 20 min drive through the twisties, banked turns and blind corners. Outside of the drive around Diamondback, the organizers also arranged for the group to Bristol Speedway - the world's fastest half-mile (oval). We were even given the opportunity to take our cars for a spin on the track, up to 30 degree banking! The organizers also put together another Fun Run (photo scavenger hunt) through one of the few pre-defined route options. Giving us the options to explore the local roads and also interface with local residents. My team, consisted of 7 cars took home the top prize. Here are a couple of videos:
Diamondback run (this is 7min long, the entire loop takes about 25 min):

Bristol Speedway. Having driven around the oval a few laps, I can tell you it's not as easy as it looks (at least for someone who has never driving it at speed):

I've been to brbs(a few years ago) and it was a blast! All the folks from ppbb were just as nice in person and the event was well planned. Might go again in a year or so. It sure looks like this one was the best so far!

Definitely plan for it. It's a lot of fun and definitely a blast. We had almost 90 cars this year and about 15 - 20 from FL.

Lithium... Good to meet you there. That was a fun cruise through the loop with you guys. Hope to see you there again next year. BTW Lithium's car looks amazing in person and sounds great too. Never thought I liked the yellow boxes. His changed my mind.
