Hey everyone,

I would like to extend an invitation for any of you guys to join us July 30th and 31st at Pomona Fairplex. This is really a great chance to get the Cayman or Boxster out and stretch her legs and meet fellow enthusiasts. The venue is close (rare for So Cal tracks), you can attend 1 day or both. For new comers, there is really good instruction available free of charge. Feel free to ask me any questions and hope to see you guys out on track!

You can register online at www.porscheclub.com

Details are below.

2011 PERFORMANCE DRIVING SERIES (P.D.S.)
PDS Events #8 & #9
POMONA FAIRPLEX –July 30th & 31st, 2011

Back by popular demand…The Porsche Owner's Club is proud to announce our return to The Pomona Fairplex for the July Performance Driving Series Event. Lunch will be sponsored by:

Racing Lifestyle - Make It Your Own - Homepage on Saturday and Werks II on Sunday.

This is NOT an Autocross! This is a high-speed road course with 14 corners and two long straights. Come race on a historic track in the heart of Southern California without getting a speeding ticket! We received an overwhelmingly positive feedback on this track from our members after the March event, so come out and have fun…And it’s close to home!

THERE IS A SOUND RESTRICTION. NO OPEN HEADERS (Sorry guys…Fairplex requirement). “Mufflers are required”.

This event limited to the first 120 entry forms received, one form per driver.
Pre‑registration recommended to ensure your entry!

Postmark date of registration determines priority of acceptance. Please note the LATE FEE OF $25.00 for registration forms with a postmark date after July 20th. This event will sell out quickly! “Walk-up” registration only if spots available. Call the POC office for availability.
Students: All students must contact Chief Driving Instructor, Dave Gardner, by phone at: (858) 414-9810 by July 26th, 2011 (Mandatory). Please supply Dave with your prior track driving experience and type of car you will be driving. Requests cannot be considered after this date and Instructor assignments cannot be made at the track if you have not contacted Dave by July 26th. Absolutely no walk-in students! First time students, please bring a copy of the Driver’s Manual to the track (it’s available on the website - please read it prior to the event). http://www.porscheownersclub.org/pdf...SCRev1.doc.PDF
POC Experienced Instructors Needed! Please contact Dave Gardner by email atoc_pds@akato-css.com as soon as possible with the days that you are attending.

Cars and Drivers: Limit of 2 drivers per car, one driver per entry form! This is a P.O.C. Points Event open to Porsche cars. Other make cars are permitted if event not sold out and may compete in an Exhibition class. All non-Porsche cars must pass technical inspection at the track. The fee for Tech at the track is $20.00.

Safety equipment: Long sleeve cotton shirts and pants, shoes with socks, SNELL SA’05 or newer helmet and street belts are the only requirements for Stock, Improved and Prepared classes. (Some loaner helmets will be available). Class V, GT, and highly modified non-Porsche cars require Nomex driving suit, socks and gloves as per P.O.C. G.C.R’s. Go to ::Porsche Owners Club:: to download the G.C.R.’s should you have any questions. Also check the Express Menu on the P.O.C. site for additional information on the track.

Transponders: All entries running for time MUST use a transponder (one per driver), no exceptions. Please help us expedite registration at the track by registering prior to the event! We will run five groups based on times. Please submit your average lap time at the Streets of Willow, if available, or you will be put in the slowest group.

Class information is mandatory to run the event. If you need assistance with car classification, contact Steve Parker, Competition Director: steverparker@aol.com or Craig Trask: pocpdschairman@roadrunner.com . Temporary car numbers will be issued if you do not have a permanent car number. Complete waiver forms must be sent with entry forms. Incomplete forms cannot be processed.

Exhaust: Closed exhaust in all classes. Mufflers are required.
Registration and Tech: Gates open at 7:00 AM. Registration and Tech- 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. You are encouraged to have your car pre‑teched at one of the Official P.O.C. Tech Inspection Stations. At-track Tech is $20.00. Be there early. At all tracks we highly recommend fresh brake fluid and sufficient brake pads!

Drivers' meeting: 8:00 AM. Sharp. All Drivers must attend the Driver’s Meeting.

Event information: Entry fee P.O.C. Members $150.00 per day or both days $265.00. Membership is $95.00 annually. Associate Membership is $25.00. One School plus three mandatory P.D.S. events are required to obtain a PDS License.
