Porsche letters

I've been thinking about replacing the S on my trunk with a red S. I've been looking on line but I'm not going to pay 40-50 dollars for a single letter. You can buy three (986 for example) for less. Do you know of a place that sells the proper font and size for a reasonable price?

why not DIY with spray paint or something? Debadge it with floss, clean/sand it and paint it over with red Fusion paint.

I would try that before paying $50 for a metal or plastic letter. However, I prefer to pay for perfection than accept mediocrity with a spray-painted part. If it's not perfect, it's not............ thanks for your reply it is an option.

I'd go for the DIY, and if you screw up painting it, you can always strip the paint back off and try again.

Painting small parts is REALLY easy. Anyone can paint that small of a part and have it look perfect. If you were local, I'd help you do it myself.

Either paint over it, or take it to a vinyl or sticker shop and have them overlay it. That would be less than $10 for sure

If you're not handy, remember when you spray it do it lightly and do a few coats. Do not give it a "thorough" coating where it will run and drip. Light coats. Allow to dry in between coats. Follow directions on the can.

I painted the "Cayman" and the "S" matte black with suplicolor spray paint. It came out beautiful and I got a lot of compliments. Too bad some jerk stole my emblems.
