centre console locking mechanism

i recently removed the centre consloe to install a new schnell shifter linkage, and when i removed the console, i removed also the wires for the elec.windows, the ashtray light, and another wire, which i found dangling there. i looked it up and apparently its for the locking mechanism of the console, but i cant seem to find exactly where it was attaches to.
it is 2 brown wires with a u shaped peice of metal attached to it.
any advice please?

I'm afraid you will have to remove the console again and turn it upside down the switch is hidden on the right side of the compartment (i think) connect the wire first then flip it over and mount it.

the console is still removed,im trying to figure out where this wire goes.the problem is that the wire has the switch connected to it, i think it broke from the clip, it has a u shape metal plate attatched to the pin, so it must have broke from somewhere, but i cant locate where. i think ill just give up, tape the metal part and leave it there. if it is of the locking mechanism of the console its not that important anyway, i never put anything there.
