Broken Sway Bar

This past weekend I went to the Tail of the Dragon and just today I noticed that the rear sway bar was snapped in two at the left side mount. I now remember when it broke because I thought I had hit something in the road by the sound of it.
Since it has been driven at least 500 miles in this condition is there any harm in a few more miles until I can order a new one?
Regards,
mike

I personally wouldn't recommend driving it. Driving it is putting tension on other parts. Have you talked to the dealership about warranty? Your sway bar shouldn't just snap...

If you didn't notice it for 500 miles, just keep on driving the same as before. My aftermarket rear sway broke too and just saw it it hanging down on the right side....didn't know when it happened. Just got another one put on. I think I still have my OE piece. PM me if you're interested in it.

+ 1

I snapped a link end on my z06 ...

the only concern would be possibly snapping the other side ...

it has to affect how it handles in some aspects...

but also it could be wearing other parts...

I would say just be cautious of it

Chad_987,
I should have mentioned that my Boxster is a '99 with 135,000 miles. Warranty long gone.
Thanks for the link, that site seems to have pretty good prices. I need a few front suspension components.

6spdg37s,
Speaking of how it handles... Now that I think about it the car did seem to be squealing its tires more on Sunday morning but I thought it was the cold pavement. Maybe it was the sway bar. I didn't think I was driving any different...

TAch Miami,
I'll PM you if I can't source one locally. Thanks for the offer.
