Funny Noise when backing up.

I picked up my new to me 2006 Guards Red Boxster S yesterday and drove it home from Virginia to Vermont. It drives great yet I noticed while backing out of a driveway twice with the wheels turned pretty far there is a fairly loud almost clickin noise coming from the front end that I feel in the steering wheel as well.
Any idea what it could be? I will get it checked out but would love some help here if you have any ideas.

Thank you!

Lot's to choose from, previous owner could have put wider wheels or spacers on and they rub on liner when turning hard, or the car could have been in a front end collision and the radiators are back too far. Take it back and have them look at it.

I had a similar issue, but the sound was coming from the engine area and it sounded like belts rubbing. Had it checked out at two different dealers and they said it was "normal," but I'm not sure if it's the same noise that you're experiencing. I would just get it check out.
