No as prone but still an issue

Agree the .2 gen is less prone, but I just got my 2013 Box S and the manual still claims no race compound tires assuring DE or track days as it will "potentially produce G forces sufficient to affect engine oil flow and potentially damage the engine. Use of race compound tires will void the warranty....blah blah...". All right there in the owners manual, so beware of overdoing the mods without addressing this IJsselmeer that ShahulX rightfully brings up.

Me? Im gonna save that cash and eventually buy a gt3 rs hopefully lol

Sidenote- tpc or anyone solve any oil strvation at high G? I know the 987.2's aren't as prone

A guy on another site measured oil pressure on his Spyder (DFI engine) at the track (Laguna Seca, etc.) and it stayed high at all times on both street and R-comp (Nitto NT-01) tires. So it appears that DFI engine is fairly safe as far as oil starvation is concerned.

Now that I think about it, Interseries and ITC guys have raved about DFI compared to M97.

this reply is from Harris at TPC... thread closed at his requiest

"StockKiller had a TPC Racing car and enjoyed it for more than two weeks, but neglected to say that his kit was redesigned by a Porsche dealer. So it is now recommended that he consult the engineers of his local Porsche dealer for further development and tuning.

For Blown996, he neglects to say that TPC Racing never installed his kit. His car was shipped to TPC Racing for proper install, and left the TPC Racing workshop running great to this day.

In regards to power upgrades, the turbo kit is the way to go when actually looking for a true gain in power. People go with the TPC Racing Turbo Kit because they want real results, not just up to 10whp but more like 100whp.

Best Regards,
Harris Levitas
