cars are getting faster and faster, soooo much faster, itīs mindboggling!
itīs also interesting what Röhrl says at 2:58, that he would have easily won the rallys back in the days with such a car.
and he was driving >500HP monsters on that particular Monte Carlo stage!

 

If it could do 2:58 around the ring, I could use that car to win the F1 championship... Or go back in time and meet Doc Brown in 1955 sorry I'm just joking haha

Anyhow, it's impressive... It's just that sometimes I felt more alive driving my miata at 8/10ths than I did driving the Gtr 8/10ths (I'm using 8 because I'm not pompous enough to think I could get near 9-10 out of anything besides a car in forza 4)

@jaspergtr ... I loved the Gtr a ton, but i like a car that's scaring you and making you work at 160mph ... I actually may pick up a 2012+ Gtr at some point but I felt mine was masking my errors in driving with its unflappability and power.... Once I'm a better driving I can move over to more powerful cars again.. Gtr's, gt3/911 turbos....

I worry this Boxster and the new 991 are doing the same thing now, but it's progression and how cars are getting faster... Faster = publicity and marketing = profits... What can you do?

 

I'm with you on this. I want my driving errors exposed, not masked, so that I can learn and get better. Cars like the GT-R are a hoot, but not what I'm ready for yet.

Back on topic... This is a better Boxster for 90% of its market... I think I'm just in the other 10%...

You nailed it. This is the exact dilemma that I am facing with the 981 and the 991...and it is driving me mad.

 

so many good and manly actors when i grew up, de niro, pacino, keitel, oldman, hackman, caine, eastwood, hopper, walken, pesci, douglas, nicholson, spacey, Voight, Newman, Hopkins and countless more!.
most of todayīs movie stars are just (poster) boys with shaved legs and cheap tattoos.
