Got my Spyder :)

After waiting 2 weeks I picked up my 2011 Boxster Spyder... black, black, nav, ipod/bluetooth, cf sport buckets, manual (3 pedals), sport chrono, with 6k miles

Very excited... already had parts sitting at my house for over a week now lol

I work at a dealer so Ive driven them before, but after driving Cayman R's and 911's... I just wanted a spyder... look and feel of them... one day maybe I'll get a 911, but for now I am very very content

couldnt be happier

Yes -- the Boxster Spyder looks and drives great! I had a chance for an extended test drive at the Porsche Roadshow last year (short autocross course). I really like the look of the new Boxsters coming out.

It would Adam but I'm already so pretty

I almost waited for the new ones but wasn't a fan of waiting or electronic steering so much (I'm sure it's fine, drove a 991 and it seemed ok)

I'll post pics soon...

Congrats! Enjoying mine very much! Will hold me over for the new Cayman S. After moving from my 06 C4S to this mid-engine handler, I will not be going for the new 911 as planned, unless my two days in Alabama with the 991s win me back!!
These mid-engine cars are beautiful canyon carvers!

Looking forward to your pics!

I dunno... The convertible isn't a huge deal.. But honestly it's just better looking and more unique.. Not a huge fan of the cayman R spoiler and other than that it's basically a cayman in looks... The spyder is something else

I need to be able to post pics via phone?

Regardless... Here is a video of my 1st track day besides and autoX

Stuck real well, no real issues, brakes held up well.. Was about 80 degrees.. This track destroyed a set of pads I had a few years ago (hawk hps.. Not good track pads lol).... Using pagid yellows w/ gt3 brake ducts and motul rbf600 fluid
