B987S is infamous around these parts
Dead battery?

Hi everyone, I stored my 06 987S in an underground parking lot over the winter and was driving the car every week in the parking lot over the winter.
Everything was fine until today when I went to start it, it wouldn't turn over.
Is it safe to get a boost?
The car has approximately 26,750 miles (42,800km)
Thanks

Why would you think it wouldn't be?? Of course it's fine. Jump the car or connect it to a tender. You probably used more energy starting it up weekly than the short parking lot runs charged and eventually ran it down. Now that it's dead, you'll likely need a new battery. Have a new one installed and your charging system checked at the same time.

..its less expensive and an easy DIY to replace the battery with a EverMAXX from Walmart or Autozone. The age of the battery makes it time for replacement. Why chance it?

Avg battery life is dependent on where you live. In S. FL, because of the heat, the avg battery life is around 28 mos (Pepboys battery tester can give you that information). So, I only buy the Bosch battery b/c it has a 36mos replacement warranty. If the batt goes flat before 36 mos (my last bosch batt went in about 30mos), Pepboys replaces it under mfgr warranty.
Up north, batteries do last longer. I had my battery for about 5yrs when I lived in the northeast.
