Hi all - looking at an '07 Cayman S w/ 21k miles. I've heard Type 1 and 2 are nothing to be concerned about, but could someone please help me interpret the below?

Number of ignitions > max speed Range 1: 1859
Number of ignitions > max speed Range 2: 0
(all others are zeroes)

Operating hours Range 1: 681.6
Operating hours Range 2: 663.8

Would you mind me asking where you had this work done? Was it a a Porsche dealership? And did they give you the writeup to take home with all the codes?

 

So someone hit redline for 1859 ignitions. Given redline is about 7K rpm....that is ~116 rev/per second. So, someone has hit the redline for a total of about 16 seconds. (1859 / 116) = 16 seconds total.
