2009 Cayman Base / Manual *update, purchased*
8/1/12 update - I bought it, can't wait to pick her up!
Hi guys
Posted a similar post over at Planet-9, I've been looking at 2009+ Caymans for the past few months and something has come up very recently that is local. The gentleman told me to make him a very reasonable offer as he is looking to offload some of his toys. According to pictures, it is absolutely in pristine condition. What would be a fair price to offer? Mid 40's? Low 40's? Also told me the warranty expires March 2014 (Is that correct?)
2009 Cayman Base
6 speed manual
18-in Cayman wheels
Xenons
Upgraded sound
Heated Seats (sounds like conv. package)
~9k miles, he is the original owner

Thanks for the reply. I would not have expected to give an offer like that. It would almost seem insulting. Maybe I just haven't done as much extensive market research. This is in the Northeast/New England area.

I've been looking at Boxsters now for about 3 months and would expect to pay $31-34 for an 08 with between 20-40k miles. What I've seen is that Cayman's usually bring a premium over the Boxsters. 09 Boxsters seem to go in the $38-42k range, wihth that said if you could score the car in the $39-40k range I would think that is a decent deal.

You guys are killing me, I'm on travel right now and I want to take a look at the car and bring it in for a PPI when I get back. If I can get it ~ 40 I think I might pull the trigger... Telling myself not to fall in love with it first.

Please show me a link to where I can buy one in this range. Better yet show me some for 32-34k in pristine condition as the OP described. I dont understand why people post things if they arent sure. Basically what you are saying is that you would accept 28-30k on trade if you owned the car the OP described. We both know you would never accept that amount if it was your car being traded in. The OP is looking for a fair deal and I would look to be under 41K.

What it shows is that the guy is clueless, at least when it comes to used car prices. I wouldn't go that low with my car and I have an 08 S (big price jump to 09). I'd think troll but it looks like he's posted a few times before.

Yea, appreciate all the help, damn work schedule isn't helping. It might be one of these luck of the draw things, I think if I offer him 39/40 it'll work from there. I'll let you guys know how it pans out...
