Racing technically voids the warranty. Don't worry about the tires helping.

Shahul,

I looked up the info on R888's and the overall diameter between the front (235/35/19) and rear tires (265/30/19) is only different by 0.3". I think they'll fit and not cause any problems.

One word of caution: on another site someone (I'm told is a very good driver) tried R888's on his Spyder and did not like them at all. He did not report any PSM or TC problems.

You may be better off getting 18" wheels and Nitto NT01's, but if you try R888's please give us some feedback. I hear everyone about tires getting greasy. I was at the track on Thursday and my PS2's got very greasy approx. 15 min. into each session (2008 Boxster S). The back end kept wanting to step out on very tight carousels.

However, my rears are pretty worn so I may have to put on some new tires before passing full judgment. I'd go with Super Sports but I have 2 almost new PS2's sitting in my garage (bought from someone cheap)...

I think I will try the r888 as my next tire. I was at VIR last month with someone in a cayman R running those same r888's... He said he liked them but after one session he had a leak somewhere (I'm assuming not related to the tire)

Honestly I don't hate the advans at all.. I know orange doesn't like them but honestly I push them very hard every single lap.. And they can get greasy 20+ min in a session but never unmanageable. I've never gotten into anything that I couldn't control... I used these on a Mitsubishi evolution before also and liked them. I used the r888 on the Gtr and liked those (very noisy but I don't care). Honestly right now I don't have anything real bad to say about the Advan AD08. After 3 hard days of lapping they are still in excellent condition.. I have at least 4 more track days this year and they should easily last.
