295/30-19s on stock 9.5 wheels
First I was told that you couldn't get 295s on a 9.5" wheel. Then I was told 295s wouldn't fit in the wheel well. Never to shy from a challenge, my tire installer got the new Hancook 295s on the wheels, then I bolted them onto the car. Plenty of clearance everywhere. The original 265/35-19 are 26.3 in diameter, these 295/30-19s are 26" in diameter. No ABS or PSM lights. I hope these suckers stick better than the Contis. I might still install 5 or 10 mm spacers out back to fill the gap.

Oops, I did it again. I put 265/30-19 tires on my 8" front rims. Fits fine, works great. With this 295 rear, 265 front combo, the car handles, brakes, and accelerates much mo better. ABS and PSM are not so easily engaged. The brake performance is the most noticeable improvement followed by my ability to get back on the gas earlier when exiting a corner. These Hankooks are great.

wow, that is really wide in front. i hear good things about the hankooks for street duty. i went with a set of michelin super pilot and i am pleased with that choice. sounds like you have a great tire shop.

I have the stock 19" Lobster Claws, so whatever their offset is. ET? as in elapsed time in the 1/4 mile? I have no idea. But I do have dynolicious on my Iphone5. It should be easy enough figure out. I autocross with PSM on. Would my ET be quicker if I turned it off? What ET should a stock Boxster S have? I have the M&M exhaust.
