Cayman GT4, Coming in 2016

Porsche is becoming more and more overpriced but why can't other manufacture make a car so perfect? Oh well, anyways, I cannot resist and would get this over the 991GT3. I love the Cayman/Boxster. Such good cars!

I would also get a one of these, actually going to consider removing my name on the 991 GT3RS wait list. Only can pray for a manual option and 400 HP, with a big GT3 type wing out back

Perhaps the biggest news for enthusiasts is that a new GT4 version of the mid-engine Cayman and Boxster. Not to be outdone, the Cayman GT4 and so-called Boxster RS Spyder are also rumored to employ hybrid powertrains. Lieberman suggests that, depending on the 919 Hybrid race car’s performance against the competition this summer, GT4 models could either switch to a turbocharged, inline-four plug-in hybrid powertrain or add a hybrid-assist to the current flat-six setup. Either way, power for these models would total over 400 hp, and their starting price of around $125,000 would reflect the added oomph. The current 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS, on sale this summer, begins at $76,195. Its 3.4-liter flat-six makes 340 hp, while the $74,495 Porsche Boxster GTS wields 330 hp.

$125,000, I'm thinking Cayman S, what will I buy with the $50,000 I saved from not getting the GT4? I'm excited about the GT4, but $5000 less than a GT3? Not sure. It better come close to GT3 numbers.

I have a deposit on one.(First in line for once.) Its won't be as radical as a GT3 is. I see it slotting in right between a 911 and 911s. Porsche will tolerate that amount of overlap. I predict 365HP and $89,900 base. Base Cayman = $52k, S = $63k, GTS = $75k….So $89k fits perfectly in line. Add the other normal options and you are bumping $100k.
