I just took delivery of brand new Porsche Boxster S 2015 model today. See pictures below. I got 17% discount on MSRP. Had to drive 100 miles. Everything seems Ok. Small issue is driver side head light is brighter than the passenger side light which is little dim. Not sure if this is a loose contact or bulb failure. Did not notice this at the dealership. I also got the oil changed. Warranty started in Sep 2015.

Sweet ride! It is fairly similarly equipped as my 2016 GTS, except for the painted roll bars. Let's hope we get some sunny weather so that you can put some more miles on it. Great deal and glad you got the oil changed. If the warranty started in Sept 2015, it really isn't a new car and they could have done the trick to get it CPO'ed and then you would have a 6 year warranty vs. 4 year. You may want to see if they will do this retroactively. It might cost you $2k, but would probably be worth it in the long run, especially with the deal that you got. Then again, Porsche might have stopped that practice.

First hack - get rid of the amber side lights and put some clear ones on. They are available from the dealers or eBay. Easy and quick swap.

As for the headlight brightness difference I'd have a tech look at that. Use the Warranty that's what it is for.

Unfortunately it requires a 100 mile drive in your new Boxster. Oh the humanity...

Not!

I would drive my new Boxster 500 miles, and did, for a nice dinner. Started out near KC Mo, ended up east around Jeff City Mo, then made my way south on down to Branson Mo and had a nice steak dinner at some restaurant there then drove back up near KC Mo and home.

 

Love to drive 100 miles, but i have lot of work next week, so planning to visit the local Porsche dealer service department to have a look at it.
