Buying a Cayman S, questions
I'm looking into buying a 2014 or 2011 Porsche Cayman S, I just wanted to know what maintenance cost you guys have endured during your ownership of a Porsche Cayman S. This car would be a DD, although I don't go somewhere everyday as I work from home but I would probably be putting around 5-10k miles on it a year and want to make sure the car is able to last me 1-3 years atleast. Thanks for any responses.

Probably the best summary of operating costs in contained in this Car and Driver long term test of of a Cayman S. They have a very good summary of their operating costs at the end and do an interesting comparison to a Vette.

i just got a 2010 CS with 80K miles. the previous owner was meticulous in upkeep. from his records, it seems about 1-2K per year. of course, he went only to his local Porsche dealer and over maintained the car. (e.g., new wipers every 6k miles for $65. )
CS is better than 911s on rear tires. on my 996 C4S i had to get new sets of rears every 10k miles. seem to last alot longer on CS.
good luck
