Boxster GTS short shift kit question (is it factory or aftermarket)
Ive had prior P cars and have always installed FACTORY short shift kits if they were available, not aftermarket manufactured ones such as B and M or Evoms just because Im more comfortable with a genuine porsche part. My question is that I called my local dealer in NJ and he said they do not offer one. I called Suncoast and they said they sell one that is a factory part (OEM) for my 2015 Boxster. My local guy insists that its not a porsche factory part and that it is aftermarket. Anyone on here have any knowledge about this? Just want to be sure it is in fact a factory part before I order. Interestingly, the sun coast sight has this disclaimer:
"Fits all 2013 or newer Boxster, Cayman, & 911 Carrera models with a manual transmission. Factory part, but not factory approved or authorized. Installation time is 2-4 hours. Professional installation highly recommended."
Factory part, but not approved or authorized??? What the heck does that mean!! lol
Thanks
Marc
