Knockoff cars (with the exception of some cobras, 356's and 550's) are a bad idea any way you look at it. I would rather drive a 914 than this thing.

you're missing the point cornholio. it's safe to say the general public has no idea what a carrera gt looks like, therefore you could probably pass it off. most people (at least i hope) on here would recognize it in a heartbeat. all depends on who you're showing the car to. instead of looking at it from someone buying it to pass it off, why not just look at it as a cool body kit for a boxster? one of the guys i was with saturday night at frenchy's thought for sure the fiero we were looking at was a real ferrari

this car is far from attrocious and does resemble a carrera gt. it's not nearly as nice as the real thing, but you can easily tell what kind of car they're trying to mimic. for somebody who can't afford to spend $500K on a car but loves the look, this is an option to get a real pcar with an exotic look.

i think it's a cool kit car. it's got a great platform (boxster engine, interior) and decent bodywork/paint.

if given the choice between this and a stock boxster as a gift, i would rip the badge off the back and take this replica in a heartbeat. it's no worse than some of the body kits out there. although the builder could have chosen a better set of wheels. i wouldn't buy it for $80K, but i still think it's kind of neat, especially compared to some of the other CGT replicas that have come up on here.

It was built on a 996 cab, maybe you can add some yellow love to it and make it special.
