In both of these Kreissig threads, there is a F1 Mode Pass by. Is this to say that there is a bypass on these pipes that makes it sound and/or perform differently?

I am not so sure about that, but if u look at their site http://www.kreissieg-usa.com/index.p...1&oid=&pid=105 you can see that they call their exhaust the F1 VT Exhaust... maybe if u contact them they can tell u if there is a bypass on this exhuast.

Yep, The F-1 mode bypasses the cats and sound deadening of the muffler. I grabbed a diagram off their website. I'll try to attach.

Unfortunately, they don't list anything for the 986. Is there a significant difference between the 986 and 987 exhaust?...........Anyone???? Mike (AWE)??

is the stainless steel that makes this exhaust so expensive?

nevertheless, the sound is the craziest made so far for the Cayman.

The cost is the ability to push a button and get have your car sounding like there is no exhaust.
