AP exhaust install on Cayman S

AP exhaust installed on Cayman S
Vivid installed the AP exhaust on the Cayman S today. So far I am very happy with it. The fit and finish is very nice, AP uses 321 stainless which has higher heat tolerance than 304. So it may hold the polish longer and be easier to keep polished over time. The placement is dead on and you can see the polished cans through the rear winglets, it looks very nice.
The sound IMO is now closer to a stock 997. It has a very nice lower frequency thrum that makes you feel like something is going on but is not unpleasant at all. At low speeds it sounds a lot more like you would expect a Porsche to sound, a little deeper and throatier but still similar to the factory sound. It continues through the lower RPM's and as the R's climb it sounds like a louder stock system. Hard to explain but I really like it. It isn't to much louder but its enough. No resonance yet but I have only put a few miles on it.
Performance wise, they did a baseline dyno but unfortunately since we live in the desert and its summer, the temp changed about 15 degrees between the baseline and the post install dyno. We did see some gain through the rev range particularly in the midrange which is where I drive it most of the time anyway, but to be fair, we need to do a pull with similar temps and will arrange to do so asap.
The good new for me is dyno or no dyno, I can tell. It definetly pulls off the line a little better and noticeably in the midrange. Additionally, throttle response is much improved. With the sport button off you get about 60-70% of what the sport button would do for you when it was activated and its getting downright snappy with the sport button activated.
Overall, fit and finish very very good! Very high quality pipe and material as good or better than most. Sound for me personally is excellent. I wasn't looking for a test pipe set up and this does a great job of giving it some authority while not being loud, resonating or intrusive, a nice sound without the draw backs of some pipes. Performance, very happy with throttle repsonse, midrange is a plus and the low end seems improved.
Vivid snapped pics and did soundclips and dyno so hopefully they will get those up in the near future. Again their attitude and service was great!
Here are the pipes.

The Exhaust has gotten even better. I don't know if there is stuff inside there that gets blown out or what but it definetly got better after a couple hundred miles.

The car is so addicting but I am trying to lay low with the mods. As you can see that is working out for me so far.

I actually don't know exactly but it was not that high, temps were around 100, nowhere near optimum for a dyno but baseline to post catback install showed a very pleasant gain.
They (Brett @vivid) really played it down but I knew there was a gain and I felt like it was more than they were letting on. I have yet to dissect the dynos myself so while I know what the hp gain was I don't know the torque. I did see the graph and it looked nice, no spikes.
