My car came without a Sport Crono package.

I have a Base Boxster 987 Triptronic.
Love the handling, I use it to go drive in the twisty mountains on Sunday mornings (This is in Costa Rica).

I was thinking of putting an AWE or Militek exhaust, and EVO intake and a GIAC ECU reprogram.

Will the ECU reprogram do what the Sport Crono package does?
Increase the rev limiter , give a more agressive acceleration curve and make the Tritronic in Manual mode, fully manual (no auto upshifts).

In top of this should increase som HP right?

 

Where did you get your Sport Chrono information from ?
All the Sport setting does is to make the throttle a little more sensitive (not as much travel required )and it switches PASM to the more ridgid setting .
The Sports Chrono Plus ( available with PCM ) also gives you a few more computer setting options .
That's pretty much all I can think of .
Oh yes, you also get the retro alarm clock on the dash.
