Porsche on the Salt Flats

Some pictures from the Salt Flats earlier last week....

I'll post more as I upload them onto my desktop.

For the sad news...I blew the motor on my Boxster. It's now at the dealership to determine if they're going to replace it for me under warranty if not...it's going to FarnbacherLoles for the GTR upgrades....

Why wouldn't your Boxster engine be covered under warranty?

I'm hoping they'll cover the engine. Something about pushing the engine too hard? I better not get any of that crap.... otherwise I'll be pissed and take my 997tt order elsewhere....

Worse part was that it wasn't even on the rally that I blew it. It crapped out on me while I was waiting to pay the tolls at the George Washington Bridge! It's sitting at Roslyn Porsche right now but I'm probably going to tow it upto Pepe Porsche where I got the car....

Yeah, I'm calling FarbacherLoles tomorrow and probably FVD as well. I definitely don't want another Boxster engine if they're not covering it...

Meh,unless you bounced it off the rev limiter a whole bunch of times I would hope they cover it.

Remind them that it is a Porsche and they are driven at triple digit speeds everyday in Germany.

Keep us informed on what they do.

I just dropped the car off at Pepe Porsche and we'll see what they say....

I just called for a quote on a 3.8L X51 & Tranny and it's only $12k...I may just go that route....380hp on a Boxster? Now that's POWER!

It was something I was always talking about doing anyway, we'll see....

I'll have the ultimate sleeper car....I'm waiting on FVD for some more details on the setup, in regards to it's compatibility with a 5speed. If I do go this route, I'm doing it myself....I can't screw it up anymore. I think what it boils down to it software tuning....

On the way from Roslyn Porsche to Pepe Porsche...

Pouring itself out Friday night

Brent 350Z hit 183mph, but he schredded his inner CV joint after hitting a raccoon on our way to Montana. I nearly missed that raccoon.
