Atlas Grey Metallic

Is it just me or is this color kind of bluish?

I went to the dealership and can't decide between colors. Right now I'm considering Atlas Grey, Meteor Grey, Arctic Silver, or Carrara White.

Does anyone have good detailed pics of their cayman in these colors?

Thanks

My other question is.... if I get the 19" carrera classic 5spoke wheel upgrade, what are the chances that I will be using those same tires on some aftermarket wheels in the future?

You will care less after you start driving the car. I can't believe how much time I waste and worried about the color. All four of those colors are nice, though personally I prefer metallics.

Carrera Classics look great and are very functional wheels. If you are going aftermarket I would either buy a set I knew someone would buy from me or just get the stockers and put the money towards your aftermarket setup. In my opinion I would go at least plus 1 on the tires. Some rims will accept a wider tire but I don't know if this is true of the CC's or any other Porsche oem rim.

As someone who has Atlas Grey, I looked up and down for it. I didn't want seal grey, silver or black. It's dark enough but not black to show all the dirt etc.. I have the classics 19" which are 8" in the ft and 9.5" in the rear. I have aftermarkets on order 8.5 front and 11 rear. I could keep the front tires but would need to replace the rears. So I'm just going to replace all 4 with Mich PS2s I don't want to mix and match. I'll just sell the classics and tires I guess. good luck on your choice.

Irvine987, do you feel that your atlas grey color gives off a bluish tint sometimes?

I've got both an Atlas Grey Boxster and a Midnight Blue Cayman S and the Atlas does have a bit of blue. Both look black at night but when I parked my Boxster next to a slate gray (or whatever they call it) BMW the other day the Atlas we definitly more blue.
Generally, the blue only comes out when in bright Sunlight.

You may want to try checking out the photos in the gallery section at caymanclub.net

They have pics of just about every color arranged by color.

The Atlas Grey colour is currently my favourite Porsche colour. As midnight blue said in direct sunlight it does have a blue hint to it.

Very very pretty colour.

Thanks for the input. I have eliminated arctic silver from my color choices, even though it is also a very nice color. Right now I'm still having a hard time choosing between carrara white, meteor grey, or atlas grey!

those 3 colors are indeed very pretty on the cayman. I think the atlas grey is growing on me and it will become a special color for th 08. So I'll say get the atlas grey!

I have an Atlas Grey Cayman S. I've noticed it looks blue in certain lighting conditions.

I've got a few high-res pictures of it here...

dw, your car looks great. original wheels with springs and spacers make it very unique. nice work.
