Cayman Performance Upgrades

A friend of mine picled up his new Cayman yesterday & as he is PC illiterate has asked me to look around for performance upgrades. It's the 2.7.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what will give him the best bang for buck?

Thanks

alot of people have reasoned out that best bang for the buck hp/$ is supercharger, but he will void warranty.
If it were my car and I just saved a bunch of $$$ by not getting an S, I would try to get a carrera S 3.8 engine for 10K and get that installed and keep warranty and all.

if he want to spend less than 5K probably just do exhaust intake and ecu...

You can have a used Carrera S motor installed in a cayman and retain the factory warranty?

when i was at the dealer a month ago one of the salesman told me he wanted to get a cayman and install the 3.8 engine.
i just thought that if you install a porsche part by a porsche dealer that it should be covered, i am not sure though...

Not. They don't even like to warranty the stuff they sell, no way they are going to warranty anything like that. I could see you taking it in for a rattle in the dashboard or something like that and kinda sneak it by them, but I would be stunned if they warrantied anything in the drivetrain.
