Yeah I checked out the crash site last evening and it was trying to figure out how it happened. Only thing I could come up w/ was a big understeer condition or slight lift oversteer.
The road's relatively straight but starts off with a sweeping right hand turn going slightly uphill.

Exclamation

there's no way that's only $60k worth of damage. I've seen f360's with less damage being declared a write-off.

i wonder if he caught the wrong paddle shifter and shifted down instead of up? Still on dealer plates, so he'd still be getting used to it and learning about it.......cold tires, cold road, big horsepower, it wouldn't take much to break the back end especially if he suddenly downshifted instead of an expected upshift.......

I agree with Pro, Hey Pro its Emil...its a scary car much like yours when the tires are not properly warmed. I don't think that he had RIV the vehicle yet so it might have also had some clutch issues + the ceramic brakes are useless in the cold.

RIV wouldn't have found any issues with the clutch, but an OOP may have.

Emil, we have a mutual friend down here in Calgary... his car looks a lot like yours

Ouch. That sucks big time... glad nobody was hurt but what a shame...

The newspaper story in the Sun said it was "legally imported" - anyone know how THAT happened??? My understanding is Lambo imports are all but impossible due to the Canadian distributor having things tied up pretty tightly...

I think you'd have to do something very stupid to crash that car on that road.
