Unhappy Trailer Lights Problem

I have a 2004 CTT and I recently purchased a new trailer. I get a "Check trailer Lights" message on my display when I hook it up, and the rear tail lights flicker continuously.

My guess is that since this new trailer has LED tail lights, my Cayenne doesn't like it. My previous Featherlite trailer had incandescent tail lights and everything worked fine. To isolate the issue to my Porsche, I plugged in the new trailer to a Dodge Ram truck and the trailer lights worked great (no issues at all).

Has anyone experienced this and fixed it? This trailer does not have electric brakes.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Sorry to say this but there is no fix for the problem you describe. There was/is an issue with the power from the tow controller box, I have it also. There was talk of a higher power unit coming out but not until later model years and mine is out of warranty. People have tried reducing the load but its not usually any help.

Another problem I had which produced similar results was a bad ground at the back, the dealer spen hours reworking it until it worked.

They needed my car and the trailer for 2 days.
