I've hit 10,000 miles and I am about to rotate my tires front-to-back / back-to-front.

I was surprised to find that my rear tires have more wear than the fronts. On my '03 Cayenne S and my '05 Cayenne S, the fronts wore more than the rears.

Anyone notice their Cayenne's tire wear habits? What are you seeing?

 

On my '06 Cayenne S:

Outside front wearing faster than inside.
Rear tires wearing evenly across.


Noticed it at 8K miles so I rotated front-to-back and back-to-front (I'm at 10K miles now). Two out of 4 dealers say its normal. Other dealers want $$$ to check alignment.

I will get my alignment checked when I get new tires. One dealer promised me free alignment if I buy my tires from them.
